Emilio Balbo is the owner of a dental laboratory. He obtained his diploma from IPSIA, Reggio Emilia in 1975. He dedicates himself to dental ceramics and has perfected the fired-on-ceramic system for the construction of ceramic inlays and onlays. He specialized in fixed prostheses with the most illustrious masters of occlusion (Dr. Peter Thomas, Dr. Landen, Dr. Celenza, Prof. Martignoni, Prof. Alonso), he attended their courses, and the ADB laboratory school di Saluzzo by Dr. De Chiesa with the teacher and colleague Odt. Sergio Barale. He was technical consultant for the Ivoclar Vivadent company for 15 years. He collaborates as technical consultant of DRM Research-Connecticut-USA in the field of glass polymers. He is national manager of the technical department of the AISI academy. He is the technical contact for DRMI-Italy. He is an active member of ANTLO and for six years he was regional manager of the Veneto region. He is an active member of the Italian Academy of Implant Stomatology (A.I.S.I.). Active member of the Amici di Brugg. Partner S.i.ce.d. (Italian Society of Dental Ceramists). He is a member of A.I.O.P. (Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry). He is a member of A.I.F.O. (Italian Dental Photographic Academy). He is a member of I.C.O.I. (International Congress of Oral Implantologists). For the A.I.S.I. he collaborated with Prof. Giampiero Cordioli (chief of periodontology at CLOPD Padua) for the coordination of the specialization course in “clinical implant technology” at the University of Padua. He is professor in the Master course (advanced training Dr. Ivano Casartelli) at the University of Bologna, director Prof. Renato Scotti. In 1982 he was a speaker at the ADB congress in Rimini and he was director of this association, until 2010. He constantly publishes technical-scientific articles.
