Vertical Freedom Concept
Speakers
This presentation explores a biologically driven vertical approach to prosthetic rehabilitation, extending the same restorative principles from natural teeth to implant-supported restorations.
The first part of the lecture introduces the Vertical Freedom Concept, a prosthetic protocol based on vertical tooth preparation. By combining vertical preparation with a carefully designed cervical emergence profile, Clinicians can actively modulate the surrounding soft tissues to achieve an ideal, stable, and aesthetically pleasing gingival architecture.
Each step of the protocol, from tooth preparation to final crown cementation, will be demonstrated through clinical cases.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
– Understand the biological rationale behind the vertical approach in prosthetic rehabilitation of natural teeth and implants.
-Recognize the principles and clinical workflow of the Vertical Freedom Concept, from preparation to definitive restoration.
-Evaluate how vertical preparation and cervical emergence profile design influence soft tissue architecture and aesthetics.
-Analyze the impact of implant design and 3D positioning on peri-implant tissue stability.
-Understand the role of supracrestal tissue attachment in long-term crestal bone and soft tissue preservation
-Integrate a unified vertical philosophy into clinical practice for predictable results.
