Principles in implant therapy
Speakers
The second part of the lecture extends these principles to implant therapy.
A biologically driven implant concept designed to enhance crestal bone preservation, soft tissue stability, and long-term aesthetic outcomes will be presented.
Particular emphasis is placed on peri-implant soft tissue shaping through transmucosal design, implant neck configuration, implant-abutment connection, 3D positioning, and a comprehensive analysis of STA (supra-crestal tissue attachment) around implant-supported restorations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
– Understand the biological rationale behind the vertical approach in prosthetic rehabilitation of natural teeth and implants.
-Recognize the principles and clinical workflow of the Vertical Freedom Concept, from preparation to definitive restoration.
-Evaluate how vertical preparation and cervical emergence profile design influence soft tissue architecture and aesthetics.
-Analyze the impact of implant design and 3D positioning on peri-implant tissue stability.
-Understand the role of supracrestal tissue attachment in long-term crestal bone and soft tissue preservation
-Integrate a unified vertical philosophy into clinical practice for predictable results.
