The role of occlusion and prosthetic superstructure for implant success

Implant success is conditioned by several factors, but often the focus is more on the surgical phase and on the macro and micro structure of the implant and much less on the superstructure prosthetic and even less on the role of the occlusal load.

The objective of the report is to investigate these two aspects with particular attention to the occlusal factor, showing the use of extraordinarily effective physiatric tests in managing contacts and DVO and presenting a new implant-supported prosthetic system that is particularly effective in the conditioning and health of peri-implant tissues.
