Analogue knowledge is essential when using digital procedures


Digital dentistry is now a reality with which professionals in the field must necessarily confront each other to keep up with the times that are marked by technological innovation. This new professional paradigm entails significant intellectual effort and economic costs. However, it is necessary to adapt to progress by facing protocols and procedures that employ tools governed by software and computers. They seem to be actions aimed at replacing man, his manual skills, his ingenuity and his aesthetic sense. Is that right?

Perhaps the path is mapped out, but at the moment we still feel a strong need for the human, the art, the “analog” notions without which any machine is unable to make prosthetic devices that have the details for their complete functional and aesthetic integration.
